Botox®️
For years Botox has helped so many men and women successfully treat wrinkles and facial creases. As people age, they long for a more youthful appearance. Botox is able to give them this.
Receiving Botox actually only takes a few short minutes, and anesthesia is not required. You will simply get injected with a fine needle into the specific muscle and feel only mild discomfort.
Our entire staff is dedicated to helping you. We want to ensure that you are happy with your results and that you never feel like you have any unanswered questions. We are here for you before and after your treatment.

Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a technique used to improve and smooth the texture of your skin. The peel gently removes the outermost layer of the skin, leaving you with completely fresh, untouched skin. Results include even-toned, smooth, tightened, and refreshed skin.
Chemical peels can be used to treat acne scars, uneven pigmentation, rough skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and sun spots/damage.
How does it work?
Chemical peels are a safe and effective treatment to remove the outermost layers of skin in order to expose new, untouched skin. Your dermatologist will create a chemical mixture specifically tailored to your face and skin type to ensure the best results.
While patients can return to normal activities immediately after treatment, the skin is sensitive and should be makeup free and protected from the sun for at least 2-4 days. Most patients begin to experience peeling after 48 hours, which resolves itself in 2-5 days.

Dermal/Lip Fillers
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gel-like substances used to treat a wide range of cosmetic issues in the face and hands, including diminished volume, fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. Several different companies make fillers, and each has its own unique formulations, which are useful for treating distinct problems in separate areas of the face.
By filling in certain areas of the face, we can contour and create the visage you’ve always dreamed of. Over time, dermal fillers are slowly absorbed by the body and most last anywhere from 12 to 24 months before necessitating a touch-up.
Dermal fillers and botox are both minimally invasive, injectable cosmetic treatments. Both are performed as outpatient procedures in the comfort of your doctor’s office and require minimal downtime. While both can improve the overall appearance of the face, they achieve this in different ways.
Botox is primarily used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. It is a purified form of the botulinum toxin, but is a safe, FDA approved treatment that has been used for several decades now.
Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles that cause fine lines around the eyes, forehead, and mouth, also known as expression lines. By blocking the nerve signals, muscles in the injection site become temporarily paralyzed, thus softening or eliminating wrinkles from the area. These results can last up to three months, and the treatment takes about five minutes to complete.
Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are primarily used to rejuvenate the skin and add volume and fullness to various areas of the face. Different brands and types of fillers are made of varying ingredients, including:
- Hyaluronic acid, such as JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, and Belotero®
- Calcium hydroxylapatite, such as RADIESSE®
- Poly-L-lactic acid, such as Sculptra®
- Polymethyl-methacrylate microspheres (PMMA), such as Bellafill®
Each of these fillers is designed to treat certain kinds of aging or other cosmetic issues. Depending on which one is used, they can last anywhere from 12 to 24 months. On average, treatment takes approximately 45-60 minutes.

Dysport®️
Dysport® is an FDA-approved purified neurotoxin prescription injection that is primarily used to treat moderate to severe frown lines. To effectively minimize the appearance of frown lines between your eyebrows, Dysport’s purified Botulinum Toxin properties weaken the muscles in your glabellar area. Dysport® is incredibly effective which is why it is frequently used to enhance other parts of the face.
Dysport® lasts anywhere from three to four months and usually takes up to seven days to take effect. The lifespan and effectiveness of Dysport® primarily depends on your physiological makeup, which is why we recommend consulting your doctor at Essence MD before beginning treatment. Some common side effects of Dysport® include headache, swelling, injection site pain, or nausea.

Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive facial treatment that encourages the natural rejuvenation and anti-aging processes of your skin while injecting serum to encourage collagen and elastin growth.
The advanced surgical device used ensures precise punctures with the necessary depth and speed needed to target collagen growth in specific areas of the face.
Microneedling is used to treat the appearance of:
- Acne scars
- Age spots
- Large pores
- Minor scars
- Stretch marks
- Burns
- Freckles
Microneedling is best used on those with healthy skin and no current acne. The tiny, sterile needles puncture the skin repeatedly, triggering a healing response. Patients may return to activities the next day. Redness is the most common side effect. Dryness, stinging, and tingling are also reported.
Results peak around 4-6 months, with the newly built collagen lasting for years. Most patients come back every few months for microneedling sessions.

Xeomin™️
Xeomin™ is an FDA-approved, highly-purified neurotoxin prescription injection that is primarily used to treat moderate to severe frown lines. An alternative to Botox and Dysport, Xeomin™ is injected into your face muscles to soften frown lines and improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between your eyebrows, also known as glabellar lines.
The cosmetic effects of Xeomin™ last for a short period of time and block the release of the chemicals that cause your muscles to contract, which over time, result in frown lines. Xeomin™ lasts anywhere from three to four months and can take anywhere from 24 hours to ten days to take effect. The lifespan and effectiveness of Xeomin™ primarily depends on your physiological makeup, which is why we recommend consulting your doctor at Essence MD before beginning treatment. Common side effects of Xeomin™ include headaches, blurred vision, and injection site pain.

Injectables
Loss of volume is a common concern for many patients, and is one of the most prominent signs of aging. Injectables are able to replace the lost volume and help to smooth out wrinkles, plump the lips, and help to restore a more youthful appearance.
Here at Essence MD we offer a variety of options when it comes to your treatment. Common injectables include Juvederm, Restylane, lip augmentations, wrinkle treatment, and scar removal. You can speak with your doctor during your consultation on what injectable will benefit you the most and which will help to achieve your goals.
During your consultation, we will evaluate the areas that you are concerned about and review your medical history. We want to make sure that the treatment is safe and you will be happy with the results you receive.
Depending on the area that is being treated, you may experience results immediately. Some patients may have mild bruising or swelling; however this will be temporary and will subside over a few days. There is no downtime with injectables, so you will be able to go back to your regular routine right after treatment. The results are also not permanent. You will want to continue to receive treatment every 6-12 months.

PRP
Essence MD is proud to offer platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy to our patients. PRP has continued to grow as a reliable way to effectively treat soft tissue and joint injuries. People experience these kinds of injuries for many reasons – sometimes they are due to intense sports or can be a result of aging or developing arthritis. In any of these cases, PRP can help heal the affected tissues more quickly. Additionally, PRP has aesthetic applications such as improving overall skin and hair health.
Our blood predominantly consists of plasma, which carries red and white blood cells and platelets. PRP is created by drawing some of the patient’s own blood and then using a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets within a sample of the plasma. This concentrated sample of platelets is then combined with the original blood sample. We can then inject this platelet-rich blood into the injured area. While results may not occur immediately, studies have shown that overall healing time is dramatically reduced, and inflammation is tempered.
If you have questions about platelet-rich plasma therapy or would like to schedule an appointment, please call Essence MD today at (702) 505-3895.

IV Therapy
IV therapy is a simple, straightforward procedure, but the treatment must be administered in a hospital or by a qualified professional. You will be seated comfortably for the duration of the therapy.’ IV’ means intravenous, which means the fluid is administered through the veins. The doctor will determine the right solution based on your dehydration levels, age, and potential medical condition.
The nurse will disinfect the injection site and place a needle in a vein. The arm or hand is the most common insertion point because it is easily accessible. The arm is also a low-risk entry point compared to other areas like the neck or thigh, and proximity to the heart helps the medication to move much faster. Once the IV is inserted, a manual or electronic pump will deliver the fluid into an IV bag. The nurse will check and ensure the pump’s delivery rate is correct. The liquid will drip from the bag through the catheter and into your body, and once inside, the fluid will enter the bloodstream.

Latisse
the only FDA-approved treatment that is clinically proven to work. It was created in 2001 by Allergan, a pharmaceutical professional that had sixty years of eye care experience. We are proud to provide patients with LATISSE® in our office in Tomball, TX .
Using LATISSE® is simple. You will just apply the treatment every night to the base of your upper eyelashes. You will begin to notice a difference after four weeks and should achieve full growth in sixteen weeks.
LATISSE® is not an illusion, your lashes really will grow. They lengthen because of the active ingredient, bimatoprost. Although the exact reason for the growth is unknown, LATISSE® is said to affect the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle. It does this by increasing the length of the phase and increasing the number of hairs in this growth phase.
If you have noticed your lashes change over the years and have lost their fullness, LATISSE® may be the answer you have been searching for. LATISSE® is the only FDA-approved product that will grow your lashes and increase the overall prominence. It’s time for you to talk with the professionals at Essence MD. We want the process to be easy for you.
If you are interested in getting started with LATISSE®, we welcome you to a private consultation right here in our office. During your consult, we will ensure that it is healthy for you to use LATISSE® by speaking to you about your medical history. We will also show you exactly how to apply it and where to use it. We never want you to feel confused, and we are always willing to answer any questions that you have.

Microblading
Microblading is an ideal treatment option for those looking to improve the appearance of their brows. This technique is semi-permanent and gives the illusion of having fuller brows.
How long do results last?
Results of microblading treatment can last anywhere from 12-18 months. The longevity of your results will be largely dependent on your skin type and lifestyle.
Is this treatment painful?
Typically, no. We will apply a topical numbing cream 25 minutes prior to your procedure so that you are as comfortable as possible. For this reason, most patients have minimal pain, swelling, and bleeding, if they experience any at all.
How long does the treatment take?
Treatment will take only about an hour and a half from start to finish.
How does it work?
Treatment is broken up into two parts: your initial appointment followed by an additional session 4-6 weeks after.
Results usually last anywhere from 12-18 months, but most patients elect to have a touch-up treatment around the 9 month mark for optimal results and maintenance. If your skin is particularly oily, if you are very active, or if you spend quite a bit of time outdoors you may consider getting a touch-up treatment sooner. For those with dry skin and those who don’t spend a lot of time in the sun, you may not need a touch-up treatment until the 12 month mark.
Please note that the cost of your touch-up treatment will be dependent upon how long it has been since your initial appointment.
What if I have had previous eyebrow tattooing or microblading done in the past?
In these cases, we will need to see a photo of your eyebrows without any makeup prior to scheduling an appointment so that we can assess the situation and plan treatment accordingly.
What do I need to do to prepare for my appointment and follow up care?
It is important that you refrain from consuming any blood thinners such as alcohol or Advil at least 24 hours before your scheduled treatment. We also recommend shampooing your hair before coming in for your appointment as you will not be able to submerge your brows in water or sweat for a few days after treatment.
We will send you home with an ointment that you will need to apply to the area for a few nights following treatment along with aftercare instructions that will be specific to your skin type.
While your brows may look different as they go through the stages of healing, it is important to note that these changes are not as noticeable to others.
Am I a candidate for this treatment?
Microblading is typically not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing and for those undergoing chemotherapy treatments. If you still wish to seek treatment, you will need to consult with your doctor and provide a note saying you are cleared for treatment before scheduling an appointment with us. Additionally, those who are taking blood thinners are not candidates for this treatment.
Will Microblading affect my ability to grow hair?
No, Microblading does not affect your body’s ability to grow hair.
When will I be able to wear makeup again?
Regular face makeup can be worn right after treatment, but you will need to wait at least one week before applying any makeup to your brows.
